i recently bought blue curtains and my mom got me a (not so pretty) rug, it has earthy tones of blue, brown, and green...right now my walls are boring and white... i really want to paint them, but i dont know what colour would look good with my curtians... any advice would be greatly appreciated..thanks!You might try a contrast such as a beige or oatmeal that is similar to the brown in the rug to tie it all together. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "aquacade" (# 7130) might be a great choice.
You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.Any color that's going to please you. I like rooms best when the curtains match the wall color (or a shade darker or lighter). This gives the wall a seamless look and feels more open, not as choppy looking. So, paint your walls the same shade as your curtains. If you don't like that idea then a warm sandy shade would work too; you'll be surprised how much different your room "feels" just going from white to beige. It sounds like a beige or bone white would pull your colors together and look bright but not too bright like plain white. It adds a little warmth too. I painted mine a bone white color and like it very well. tape the walls half wat across then paint half blue the other half brown then remove tape you have a even line and now it is beautifulLight blue would be the best option here. I love colour coding#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
