Just wondering if you guys ever heard of them? Do you think of them as more of a loser school that no one has ever heard of (Minnesota) or one of the more mediocre schools?
They are 9-3 and they are ranked and are in a bowl, and they are my team. Just wanted your thoughts on them and any criticism. thanksNorthwestern is known more for academics, and they are much smaller than other Big 10 schools. They're football team was very bad for a long while, but since the late 80's when then coach Gary Barnett took them to the Rose Bowl, and 2 back to back Big 10 titles they have been fairly decent.What is with the Minnesota hate? They have 5 national championships., and recently produced 2 NFL runningbacks. Marion Barber and Lawrence Maroney.
To answer your question, yes I have heard of them. I am an Ohio State fan, and NW has wrecked a few of our seasons. I thought this season was a good game, but Tressel ran up the score, that kind of pissed me off. I was always a Pat Fitzgerald fan.Well duh, they're one of the weakest sports schools in all of the nation.
They're gonna get the crap beat out of them in a bowl game.They are good but play in an overrated conference (the Big 10)no and who are they oh wait if i haven't heard of them how would i know them.the name sounds really good so i think they are the best.Yes they are from the big 10 and went to the Rose Bowl a while back with a solid season. They went 9-3 quietly and I do realize that the Big 10 is in a slump right now but it is still a solid season.
